25% Increase in Open Rates With One Simple Step

clockI’ve been doing a little experiment lately and thought the information that got me  a 25% increase in open rates were worth passing on.

One simple change that has increased my success online, that pretty much anyone could do.

Firstly though, I have to say that you need to be doing some sort of email based marketing for this tip to work.

You know the sort of thing…

…offer a gift in exchange for the persons email address and then communicate on a regular basis with mails that will inform/help/entertain/interest them.

(If you are not doing this already, I can’t recommend highly enough that you start!)

Of course when you start sending your mails, only a proportion of your subscribers will open your mails and therefore read your riveting content.

Obviously the more people that open your mails the better.

More opens = more people clicking your links = increased income

I discussed in some depth in my AR Mail Magic training ways that you can ensure the maximum number of people open and read your mails.

However even without this information I have found a way to consistently increase the number of people opening my mails by around 25%

It’s all based around when people receive their mails.

It has been shown that people tend to be more likely to open the mails at certain times of the day…and so if we knew these times we could maximise the number of people reading our mails.

Fortunately this work has been done for us.

When you send a mail from GetResponse, you have an option called ‘Perfect Timing’.

perfect timingBy turning this little known facility on, GetResponse will automatically send your mail in batches to ensure it gets to your subscribers at the optimum time.

I was always very skeptical of this automation, but I tried it out with a proportion of my list over a period of time.

And the results were better than I could ever have expected.

As mentioned there was a consistent increase in numbers opening my mails to the tune of 25%.

So there you go, if you are a GetResponse user, try the ‘Perfect Timing’ option (I’m not sure if other autoresponders have a similar option).

Maybe you too could increase your open rates over night.

If you do try it, let me know how it goes for you.
