All work and no play….and all that

I’ve not updated my blog, or done much else on my business for that matter ,for the last two weeks.

This is because I have been on my annual family holiday and I frankly couldn’t be asked!

Perhaps not good business, but I’m only human.

beerYou see when presented with the choice of time by the pool with another beer or writing an email…

…the pool/family/beer tends to win out every time (As I say, I’m only human :)).

So what effect do you think that had on my online income?

Well unsurprisingly it went down.

But here’s the thing…

…it didn’t stop completely…not by a long way!

And this is the real beauty of internet marketing.

Set your business up correctly and you WILL bring in the cash even when you do diddly squat for two weeks.

The big dream you were sold of earning a living while on the beach may not be total reality for most, but it’s not far off.

It’s just a matter of making sure that you have a proportion of your business that runs on autopilot.

I make sure I have a number of strands within my business that don’t need me to be there all the time.

I have a sales funnel that send new subscribers a series of automated follow up emails from my autoresponder (Check out my various Done4U sales funnels HERE if you don’t already have one of your own)

I also have amazon affiliate sites.

Little sites that review products on Amazon that bring in automated sales year round.

The review site is a great ‘set and forget’ income generator.

Obviously there is some work up front to set things up, but once set up they can bring in sales on almost total autopilot.

Are you going to make a fortune with a single review?

NOPE, I wouldn’t have thought so (unless you are very lucky).

The trick is to have a number of these sites floating around on the net.

Again if this ‘hands off’ income stream is something that appeals to you, you need to check out Associate Goliath.  It has been around for some time now and is at time of writing up to v5.0

It basically does all the hard/techy work required to set a site up and therefore makes things a lot easier.

That fact it has been around for so long gives a good indication of how well the software works and how popular it is.

It is claimed you could create a site in just 49 seconds!  I would personally take that figure with a pinch of salt, but even if you could get something up in 30 minutes, imagine how many sites you could have up in a day, or a week, or even a month?!

So in summary as I said in a previous post, there is nothing like hard work to increase your online income, but for those days when you feel like doing bugger all, make sure you have a few automated income streams within your business…

..after all, all work and no play makes Andy a miserable old git 😉

Enjoy your summer 🙂

  1. Hey Andy,
Just came across your blog from the WF.

I own a few Amazon review sites so will definitely check out the WordPress plugin.

Thanks for the share and take it easy.
