He’s not the Messiah, he’s a very naughty boy!

If you’ve ever seen ‘Life of Brian’, you will recognise the above quote. (I originally watched it when I was about 13 and thought it was the funniest film EVER!)

The reason the quote came to mind is that I was told this week that I had managed to resurrect a dead list, a list that was no more, a list that was pushing up the daisies (whoops slipping back into Monty Python territory again) .

The context of this was that Hamza, a fellow member of an IM Facebook Mastermind Group, carried out an experiment with his apparently ‘dead’ list and mails from my AR Mail Genie membership.

I will let him tell you the rest by copying his unsolicited post from the group in full:

Hamza’s original post:

Hello everyone.

Our friend Andrew doesn’t know I’m writing this, and I’m sure he’ll be terribly embarrassed about the praise I am about to heap but I don’t care.

I have an IM list of around 2,000, most of which I bought off another marketer a few years ago, but some that I added myself through 5 or 6 doomed funnels (in different sub-niches). I don’t believe I ever made any sales, and I have not sent a single email to this list since December 2014.

This is a dead list. It has ceased to be.

But I wanted to give it one last push to show myself there’s money in these here hills, so I thought I’d try Andy’s AR Genie system to at least see if there was still a pulse and then try to resuscitate if possible.

I spent around 1 hour popping the first 8 or 9 messages in my autoresponder with links to appropriate Clickbank products and a couple from WarriorPlus. Apart from adding my name I didn’t make any edits to the emails, just copy -> paste -> add links.

To cut a long story short (too late!) it’s now Day 4 and I just received my first sale! Hurrah and huzzah! Open rates have been consistently around 3% and I’ve been getting 4 clicks a day on average.

“3% open rate” is misleading because it’s nearly always a different 3%. So probably nearer 10% of my list has opened an email in the last 4 days. I’m pretty impressed by that.

Anyway, I’m so chuffed I just wanted to give a shout-out to Andy. The emails are well written and engaging, it was a doddle to add them to Aweber, and I’m excited to see what happens over the next days, weeks and months. I will either take over and start writing my own emails, or I’ll just send some traffic to what I’m setting up now and see what happens.

So if you have a dead list, I highly recommend getting hold of AR Genie and giving yourself a kick up the backside to get things moving again.

So if you have a need to resurrect an ailing list, or just realise you should be sending regular mails to your list but just don’t have the time/skill/knowledge to do so, you might want to have a look at what the membership could do for you.  Check it out it full and how you can get your $1 trial by clicking HERE.

(If the thought of investing in anything from someone who likes Monty Python so much fills you full of dread, you might want to dip your toe in the water with my free bundle of mails.  You can check those out by Clicking HERE)
