How to ‘steal’ other marketers’ traffic…and have them be happy about it

In my last post I wrote about one of the strategies I use to bring in high quality, targeted leads for my offers.  This was in response to questions sent in by members of my list.  Today I want to look at a second method I use.

The second method is about simply about getting a presence on the download page of other marketers.

Now this method needs a certain amount of relationship building with fellow marketers, however the effort is well worth it, as you are tapping in to a pool of individuals that by definition you know are buyers (the link is on the download page and therefore people are only going to get access if they have purchased the product/service).

Again you will need a sales funnel with a free front end that is set up on a marketplace like Warriorplus or JVZoo.

The process is to then contact other marketers who are in a similar niche as yourself to see if they would be interested in putting your free offer on their download page as a bonus for their customers.

I have to say that unless you have built a good relationship with the marketer in the first place it is highly unlikely they will just put the link on their download page…even if you do have a good relationship, it is still unlikely they will respond favourably to your request.

The answer then is to have a funnel with a good conversion.

If the other marketer believes that they can offer your free gift AND earn a nice little sum on the back-end, there is a good chance they will at least consider your request.

I know this is something I do on my download pages, as the free gifts I offer actually bring me in a nice supplemental income without having to do any extra work.

(So if this technique appeals to you and you have a funnel that has good conversion stats, I’d be happy to at least discuss getting your offer on my download pages)

In essence, if you can go to your perspective marketers with some good conversion stats to show for your offer, they are going to be much more likely to consider your offer to include on their download page.

Of course if you have taken the time to build a relationship as well, that will further increase the likelihood of them accepting your suggestion.

This works because everyone benefits, you obviously get the very high quality traffic, the other marketer makes extra revenue for no extra efforts and their customer gets a good quality freebie.

Remember the focus is on traffic, therefore you might even consider giving a better affiliate commission rate right through the funnel, just to be able to get those marketers onboard.

This may seem a little way away if you are just starting out, but it doesn’t take much to build a simple sales funnel with free front end and simple upsells.

Once you have this set up on Warriorplus or Jvzoo you can not only show your stats but also simply and easy set up individuals as affiliates of your product.

So there you go, there is the second of the three methods I use extensively to get good quality targeted traffic.
