It’s a Big Day!

learnerToday is a significant milestone in the Waring household!

You see my son is taking his driving test (in about 1 hour 18 minutes as I write this).

It’s one of those times that you feel totally powerless to help…

..and as a doting dad that is tough.

I have helped with his lessons and giving him advice, but now it is squarely down to him.

He is going to pass or fail based on his merits.

However I do know if he does happen to fail, it will just be a matter of working on the elements that let him down and going again.

Although I do think they might be a certain amount of sulking, gnashing of teeth, and being just about unbearable…

…and my son might not be too happy either (;-)).

Of course if you look at this, it is very similar to launching your own business online.

The business, starts as a twinkle in our eye.

We then start putting in the effort to create it.

(OK, I’ll admit the work to create an actual child is far more enjoyable than the effort to create your first product, but I’m sure you get the drift).

You then try your best to make your product or service the best it can be.

You put in time to create sales pages, logos, sales funnels, JV offers…

…everything to make the business as successful as it can be.

And then comes the fateful day when you have to push your product out into the real world.

Once you do that there is nothing you can do.

You have prepared it the best you can.

You have done everything in your power to make sure it achieves everything you expect of it.

And very often you are going to see success…

…but of course, not always.

The important thought to take with you, is that you and your business are still 100 miles further on than the business that is yet to see the light of day.

You also now have firm evidence of where you were going wrong.

Like a driving test, you will know where your ‘major’ faults are and therefore will be able to do something about them.

And when you have tackled those issues, you can take the test again.

And the process starts again.

Some people will pass their driving test straight away, and some will need to go through the process a number of times.

The same is true with launching a product/business of your own.

I can tell you this with a lot of certainty though; those people who quit after a failure will never succeed.

Hopefully this is not a piece wisdom I’m going to have to use with my son this afternoon….fingers crossed!!

Of course you can get the blueprint of a tried and tested online business strategy by claiming a copy of my Ultimate Sales Funnel Blueprint.

EDIT: Not good news, no success this time (but extremely close), so is confident that he’ll have it nailed next time (going to get his A Levels out the way first though.)
